Math at Ormondale
The California State Board of Education adopted a Mathematics Framework in 2013. This framework was then updated in 2023. PVSD teachers and administrators will study the new framework over the next two years in order to ensure alignment in our classrooms. We strive to deliver a robust math program at all levels.
In 2015-16 the district worked with teachers to adopt a new core program and supplemental materials that focus on rigor, differentiation, and deeper learning that help us to address the diverse learning needs of our school community. PVSD extended the years of adoption until Spring, 2026.
Core Instructional Materials
Houghton Mifflin Harcourt's Math Expressions: This curriculum offers a wide variety of features for all types of learners and is balanced through adaptive digital access and traditional workbooks.
